@anonyme 11:44: Well said! Who needs fashion which is as globally uniform as those pileable white plastic chairs?

Looking forward to photographic accounts of the Belgrade Cavalli armada.

When we walk in Novi Sad and see popes my mom always tells me this joke : Huso se setao po ulici, i napao jadnog popa i istuko ga...posle viknu " sta je Betmene, nije tvoj dan? "

Huso was walking down the street and attacked a pope and hit him and then screamed "so Batman, not your best day huh?"

It's so silly but always gets me smiling

The man in the first picture is not a "pope" as bojana translated -- he is a parish priest. i've always been fascinated by their style which has remained untouched by time. the umbrella is very unusual though -- very cool.

btw, bojana that joke doesn't work in english, maybe because it's not that good even in serbian.
never try to translate humor, dear girl.

i also resent the "give these people an h&m" comment -- there is so much wrong with that kind of thinking i don't know where to start. h&m to me is a scary style hydra which appropriates every single cool thing that anyone has ever throught of in terms of what they would want to wear and then mass manifactured it. while i appreciate the fact that you can get all kinds of cool stuff for cheap thereby proving that fashion doesn't have to belong to the rich elites, i also think that because these products and h&m styling is so standardized, it's one of the biggest culprits of this "global fashion" that is so disheartening to me......click on any streetstyle webpage from argentina to zambia and i guarantee you there will be everyone and their mother in skinny jeans, palestinian scarves, misshapes haircuts, tape/rainbow printed hoodies and ironic hotdog earrings. or shitty polyester dresses cinched with wide belts and wearing black leggins and vintage shoes. boring.
